Rules of Pencils

  1. Here you have to mark out pencils, draw lines from the tip (pencil lead) of the pencils, and use the numbers in the pencils. The lines go through the cells from the tip of the pencils.
  2. A pencil is a straight group of one or more cells with the tip (the lead) at one end. The line from the tip goes through the center of cells horizontally, vertically, or turning.
  3. A cell with a number in it shows the length of the pencil which contains it. A pencil may contain no, one, or several numbers in its cells. A number must be inside a pencil.
  4. The length of the line from the tip of the pencil must be as long as the shaft of the pencil.
  5. The line from a pencil cannot cross itself, cross another line, cross a pencil, or branch off. A line cannot be disconnected from a pencil.

How to Play Pencils

A pencil consists of a shaft, a tip, and a line extending from the tip. The number in a pencil represents both the length of the shaft and the length of the line extending from the tip. Putting the same number multiple times in a pencil is allowed.
